2014 - Gibson Les Paul All Wood, Antique Natural, Mint

2014 has been a magic year for Gibson USA, the must’ve stumbled upon some choice maple and produced some iconic instruments. I always refer to the All Wood Les Paul as the poor man’s The Les Paul - those are late 70s, all flame (including the sides) and quite rare. The All Wood bring back that etos, and then more: AAA flame maple top, AA flame maple back, flame maple neck and headstock, flame maple binding of the rosewood fretboards. Rosewood is also used for, well, everything else: truss-rod cover, control back plates, pickup rings, knobs and pickguard. It sports 57 Classic pickups and a weight-relieved mahogany body, for a truly unique cocktail we have not seen again from Gibson USA. Bravo. This All Wood, is All Mint too.
