2010 - PRS Private Stock DC3 2011 NAMM Show, V-12 finish, Vintage Amber Burst

A magnificent 1 of 1 PRS Private Stock, proudly displayed at the 2011 NAMM Show. PRS has accustomed us to wildly figured tops (and backs too!), but this DC3 goes a step further, with a stunning 1-piece flamed maple body, and a 1-piece flamed maple neck (not counting the headstock wings) - no book-matching, scarf joints or lamination, just very rare wood selection, enhanced by a classy finish. On that note, the V-12 finish is a feature on itself: between nitro and acrylic, extremely thin to allow the guitar to resonate, but without the finish-checking risk of the old-school nitro.
