2008 - Gibson Les Paul R9 Summer Jam, Faded Gold

Number 22 of a limited run of 50 Les Pauls produced by the Gibson Custom Shop for the Summer Jam event in 2008. They're based on the R9 model (ABR-1 bridge directly mounted on the body, think binding in the cut-away), but they're not your usual re-issue. Notably, they sport a one-piece flamed maple top with a fading gold burst finish, and a 3-piece flamed maple neck with 2 walnuts strips. And, why not, a cool stinger in the back. There is nothing traditional about this beauty, and I don't mind that.
