2007 - Gibson Les Paul Custom "25", Cherry Sunburst

The Les Paul "25" is a quirky, limited-run, Google search unfriendly, special rendition of the late 70s 25/50 model. Only 100 produced, with similar features as the venerable 25/50, such as matched, but better, flamed maple top, split-block inlays, 3-piece flamed maple neck with walnut strips, ebony fretboard, coil split toggle; then they threw in some notable improvements, specifically flamed maple pickup rings, pickguard, headstock, a cherry sunburst finish that wasn't part of the 25/50 run. I am a huge fan of these "super customs", less so of their price point, that's reflecting the inherent rarity, and the fact that Gibson is more focused on re-issues vs. fancy custom builds.
